As the lash industry grows, untrained or worse still badly trained people calling themselves lash technicians jump on the band wagon. The application of lash extensions, once mastered, is easy but only with sound training foundation and lots of practice.
There are two fundamental reasons why proper training is paramount to the survival of our industry. The first, of course is safety. Students should understand what constitutes a safe adhesive, how to use it and patch test correctly. They should also have full control of the tweezers which are extremely sharp and if dropped in the eye could cause severe damage. Any open eye technique is forbidden by A H Francis as it is extremely dangerous, not only from the point of view of the tweezers but also handling the adhesive. Some adhesives contain very strong fumes and should be handled accordingly. The second fundamental is aftercare. Clients should be given the correct aftercare advice ensuring, for example, that they do not attempt to remove the lashes themselves. This will result in them pulling their own eyelashes out and the danger of them not growing back.

Phase One

You will receive an A H Francis Lashes Diploma once you have completed five Case Studies. Our Diploma is recognised by the major beauty insurers in the UK and will enable you to gain insurance cover for your treatments. At qualification all A H Francis students will receive an enamel pin badge.

Phase Two
Practice, practice, practice!
Your main investment is time; remember certificates do not make you a master – dedication & practice will.
Ask as many friends as possible to model for you. We suggest you practice as much as possible to gain confidence before you take on paying clients. This also ensures you are able to perform the treatment in the appropriate time.
Phase Three
MasterClass Training Package
For AHF qualified lash technicians only. Please note you will be required to bring your own model. Workshop fee £195 plus VAT (no products included). MasterClass training covers extra techniques for Lash Extensions & once completed you will be a true Master of Lashes.
EXPRESS LASHES – a technique that allows you to perform a lashes treatment in around 20 minutes
BOTTOM LASHES – using our closed eye technique which is safe and effective (any open eye technique is forbidden by A H Francis because of the risk of injury)
007 LASHES – the finest individual extensions available. Fine, lightweight & incredibly soft these will give great results, creating a luxurious thick look.
