Is it just me? But preparing for a holiday is quite a feat. I’ve never been one of those girls who can just fling a pair of sunnies and a cowboy hat on, pop a bikini in a bag and is good to go. I’m no Elle Macpherson.
I’ve had to make a full on A4 sized list of:
a) What I definately must take, this includes contact lenses passe port etc.
b) Stuff in case of emergencies (aloe vera for sunburn and piriton in case some pesky flying creature decides to knaw at my leg)
c) ‘Extras’ these are usually things I never wear or use, however I keep them stored away ‘for holidays’ I always hoike them out, get excited realise why I never wear them and put them back under the bed for the next time. ‘Holiday resort ‘ t shirts that were fun at the time but do not need to be kept for eternity.
Page 2 of my list is cosmetics, I know I don’t need everything I have in my cupboard but I always get the urge to use up those face masks and ‘intensive’ hair restructing treatments. As usually I feel the need to take every colour eyeshadow and lip gloss I have ever even thought I might like to try, and every time I end up not wearing much at all, its amazing what a golden glow can hide.
So the only thing left to do is make sure that I am de fuzzed, exfoliated and moisturised from top to toe. I’ll need a holiday after all of this, thank goodness I only have to lie back and relax when I have my lashes done…Bliss!
