What is the difference between 3D lashes and traditional false lashes?

Designed to thicken and lengthen the client's natural eyelashes, 3d Lash Extensions are nothing like "traditional false lashes" which are produced in clumps of about 5 or 6 and are stuck to the client's eyelashes with self-adhesive and last a couple of days.

3D Lash Extensions are individual lashes and last for weeks and weeks. Made to be identical to natural lashes the 3d lash base is flat and the lash tip is fine and polished, just like real lashes.

Via a state-of-the-art technique 'one' 3d Lash Extensions applied directly to the client's own lash and repeated until the client has a full set of 3d Lash Extensions creating the illusion of fuller, thicker more defined lashes and that is why it is of paramount importance that you train to become a professional and certified technician otherwise your clients could end up with the illusion of less lashes not more.

Is there a maintenance programme?

Like your nails and the hair on your head, your individual eyelashes grow out on a continuous cycle of replenishment. The average cycle is about 90 days.

While some individual eyelash extensions may last for weeks and weeks, to ideally maintain the thickness and fullness and for best results, we recommend you to top up about every 2-3 weeks. The cost of this again depends on the factors listed above.

Remember the number of lash extensions that can be applied will be limited to the number of available natural lashes.

The main consideration is that your tweezers are light and the pointed ends sit together perfectly. �The only thing that will really speed up your technique is skill which comes with practise and a fast drying glue.

If my clients do not want to wear eyelash extensions, what is the alternative?

The eyelash perm, when done correctly, lifts the lashes from the roots with a natural curl, other methods including manual curlers create a very unattractive right angle. If you are already trained in lash perming check the perming section for hints and technique tips.

Certificates do not make you a master, dedication and practise does. However many workshops you attend unless you practise you will never become an expert.

What is the Audrey Hepburn Sweep?

Just a few lashes on the outside corners of the eyes looks fantastic, it takes just 30 minutes. This look is ideal to sell to those clients who do not wish to commit to ongoing maintenance, clients who would like to try the treatment or simply for a one off occasion.

 

If the angle of the lash in the tweezer is wrong it makes the application extremely difficult.

Apply the lashes to middle aged lashes which can be detected by comparing the length and texture. By using these lashes one can be more assured of longer lasting lashes.

CHOOSE MEDIUM AGE LASHES

Make sure you use sufficient glue, being too sparing with the glue can result in lashes not lasting.

The 3D Lash most be 100% bonded otherwise the lashes will not last. The lash base connecting point must be perfectly bonded. If a repair is necessary it needs to be done quickly. Once the glue is dry it will be impossible to repair. It should be difficult to identify the 3D Lash on the natural lash when bonded correctly.
