As a lash technician, you will only be too aware of how important it is for your clients to have super clean lashes before applying lash extensions. After all, if the lashes aren’t clean enough the longevity of the extensions and the bonding of the adhesive are compromised.
The good news is that we have just launched our AHFrancis Foaming Lash Wash. This wash is perfect for removing oil, grease and bacteria from the eyelash area whilst hydrating and caring for the natural lashes. The lash wash is safe to use with all of our glues and lash extensions and therefore can be used every time your client has an appointment to ensure lovely clean, fresh lashes, whether it be a full set or infills.
So, what is the best way to ensure your client’s lashes are cleaned properly?
Firstly, ask your client to arrive at their appointment without eye makeup as this not only gives you a good base to start with, it also means that you are not fighting with waterproof mascara.
Pump a small amount on to the back of your hand and with the client’s eyes closed, use a foam lip gloss applicator or a lint free pad to apply the lash wash to the lashes. Gently sweep down the lashes, so that you are pushing any dirt away from the lash line removing any oil or bacteria from the lashes. For salon use we would recommend using a protein pad to remove any excess and to give a further cleanse and to ensure any moisture has been removed before we carry out a full lash application or infills. Blot dry the lashes with a clean, dry tissue.
The Foaming Lash Wash can also be sold to your clients in order for them to carry out their lash aftercare. Application is as above, but there is no need to use the protein pads as these are for salon use only. It can be used every three days to keep their lashes looking fabulous as part of their regular beauty regime as it will remove the remove the regular build-up of grime easily. This multi-tasking foaming lash wash can also be used to clean makeup brushes and lash combs/brushes too, making it less likely that oil will come into contact with the lashes.
Don’t forget that clean lashes make healthy lashes and healthy lashes make happy clients. If lashes are looked after properly they will last longer.
As usual with AHFrancis products, you can be assured that the lash wash is vegan friendly and has not been tested on animals. It’s also 100% hypoallergenic, making it suitable for virtually everyone.
